Little details

 Ring H&M, frienship bracelet River Island, Ethnic wrist band Primark

I love my Barry M nail polishes, especially in these gorgeous pastel colours that look so gorgeous and fresh in the sunshine. The good thing is that shades in this colour palette compliment short nails too. To match my pretty nails I found this beautiful turquoise ring in H&M which makes a great statement.

a POP of colour

Dress £40 Urban Outfitters
www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk

Comes in 4 bright solid colours - I want them all!

Having a few heart palpitations at this dress uh-oh. Such an easy way to be bang on the colour blocking trend (which yes, is getting a tiny bit tedious now but you can't deny it just looks great) at a really good price. Team with contrasting shoes, bag and blazer if you want to do Jil Sander and Gucci justice.

The LWD

One shoulder dress £60 Topshop
Sun dress £30 ASOS
Flower band £7.50 Topshop
Stone ring £8.50 Topshop
Earrings £4 ASOS

A few of my high street faves so far

I'm feeling totally gutted at the moment because last year I went on an Ebay massacre and sold a bunch of stuff. One regrettable item being a really cute little white lace dress with backless detail that I got from Topshop, and actually it fitted me like a glove. That's a key point for the LWD, as long as you get one that suits your body shape perfectly it will put your LBD to shame.

Now I'm noticing that the LWD (little white dress) which lets face it is one of this summer's must haves, is everywhere! Not just fitting for your wedding day, a white dress at this time of year is absolutely a winner. It's the perfect day to night outfit which is why it's so great for this season, wear with wedges or gladiators (I think tan look best), turquoise jewellery to be really on trend for summer which will really accent the look, and tousled hair, possibly with a dainty floral accessory for day... for an evening look add big gold bangles-or rustic silver if you prefer, a block colour clutch, a pair of super high heels in a light colour such as beige or nude, which will really make your legs go on and on, and wear your hair in a top knot to add even more height. Oh this look begs for a bright lippie too, try matching the colour to your clutch and there you have the perfect LWD look.

I had so much fun working on this magazine. Both the team I worked with and of course the clothes were equally amazing. My favourite shoot has to be Block Party, the silky block colour tees are a wardrobe must have for this Summer - totally fun and chic and will brighten up any outfit. I will be buying everything from Seek Shades, and Floral Arrangement too.

Here are a few behind the scene pics I snapped on one of the shoots

Birds of a feather

Feather trimmed sequin skirt £3,695 Matthew Williamson at Net-a-porter;
Dreamcatcher earrings £12.50 Topshop;
Multi feather chain £14.99 River Island;
Feather belt £215 Maison Martin Margiela Flash at Browns;
Malababa feather collar £185 ASOS

I am completely obsessed with feathers at the moment, especially in the form of accessories - I mean there really is no quicker or cheaper way to update your wardrobe than by adding a new belt, or a statement necklace is there? Just imagine what that feather collar would do to that LBD you've had sitting at the back of your wardrobe for the past few years. I've picked out a few of my favourite feathered pieces above that would instantly add that wow factor to any outfit, and be totally on trend for the navajo vibe that is so popular this Spring/Summer. Just be careful when putting things together, you don't want to look like a showgirl!

Mineral Miracle

I don't mean to sound cheesy and as though I'm trying to advertise anything, but I really do have to tell you all about my experience with Bare Minerals.

Like many people, I suffer with the occassional break out and quite often it makes me feel pretty rubbish. I would use a heavy foundation to cover it up, but to be honest I have realised that it just results in a vicious cycle. The more you use a thick, gooey liquid foundation the more your skin just cannot breathe thus resulting in even worse looking skin.

I constantly seek advice from the beauty pages in my magazines, always look at beauty blogs and websites, and I often ask for the odd cheeky tip from make-up artists that I meet on shoots. Bare Minerals is something I had heard a lot about, but hadn't really given in and believed the hype. A few years ago I completely bought into a mineral make-up brand which I wasted a lot of money on, and saw no results - so I guess that was enough to put me off the mineral concept. After hearing more and more about it, and hearing that quite a few friends of friends used it and loved it, I decided to pop down to my nearest Bare Minerals counter.

At the time, I had horrible, angry looking skin so I didn't think anything would work. I was after the coverage which I had become so familar with, but I thought - well if this stuff is actually meant to be good for my skin, surely it won't look the way I want it to. As soon as the representative started buffing away I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was it by far the best match to my skin tone I have ever seen in a foundation, (lets call this foundation number 25 at least) but it was concealing all the angry parts and giving me a really even complexion. Once my whole face was complete with the foundation, concealer, warmth, blusher and the mineral veil - I closely inspected, and had my mum on hand to give me an honest opinion (I suggest you always take someone with you when buying new cosmetics just incase that sales girl might be trying to make her daily target). The results were fantastic - no lines around my neck, no patches around my t-zone, no lumpy bits around my bad areas - it was just what I wanted.

After speaking a bit more to the rep and from what I knew of the brand already, it is proven to be the best make-up for you - the make-up that you can sleep in, that is guaranteed to improve the appearance of your skin. I walked away a happy customer, and two weeks later I am still chuffed about my minerals, and don't think I will go back now. I have done the sleep test and left it on over night (which you should never do with regular foundation) and I can tell you that it has improved the look of my skin.

I love playing around with make-up, and Bare Minerals has so much choice especially with their fantastic colour ways in blushers and lip glosses. I can't wait to get my next few bits!
